Back again fans and we are almost at the end of our breakdown of the Villains of Buffy series but alas never fear because as any true fan knows we've saved the best for last. When we left season 5 we were devastated once again by the death of a major character, none other than that of the hero herself, Buffy in her efforts to save her sister, Dawn, from Glory's clutches. However, wracked with grief, season 6 picks up with the scoobies beginning to mess with forces they have no control over and bringing their leader back from the dead.
This is just the start of the ways in which the audiences' ideals of our favourite characters are rocked this season. Many dynamics of the gang change with bringing Buffy back from the dead including her relationship with our loveable Blonde vampire, Spike which quickly turns into a sexual relationship that has a decidedly devastating ending for the pair as we see later in the season. While this aspect had left fans stunned its the result of the villains of the season that truly rocked us to the core. The trio, a group of smart, geeky and severely misguided guys who dabble in things that they shouldn't be messing with, kicks off the devastation for this penultimate series.
After having their plans foiled once again by the slayer and her friends, the self-appointed leader of the trio, Warren decides to settle the score by taking a gun to Buffy's house with only one thing in mind. Unfortunately, life happens while we're busy making other plans and it is not Buffy that falls victim to Warren's anger but Willow's long-time girlfriend, Tara. In a fit of pure rage at seeing the woman she loves killed, we see just how strong our meek-mannered Willow truly is and thus we have "Dark Willow". Hell bent on revenge, Willow attempts to exact her vengeance on the trio, who now must rely on Buffy and her friends for protection. How will they stop Willow before its too late?
For the final part of our Villains of Buffy series stay posted, ttfn :)
