Hi all and for Part 4 I am going to extend our breakdown to include anti-heroes on the small screen as well and take a look at everyone's favourite serial killer, Dexter.
The TV series of the same name follows, Dexter Morgan a forensic expert, loyal brother, boyfriend and friend. Except that's not all he is. Dexter is also a serial killer who kills other killers. This show truly turns on its head what the terms good and evil really mean and Michael C. Hall's depiction of the main character is disturbingly brilliant. A successful series in its own right, the show lasted for eight seasons before finally coming to a conclusion. Perhaps our darkest candidate for the ultimate anti-hero, Dexter is a true depiction of how morally blurred the lines of heroism can become and yet we are still willingly to classify a protagonist as such.
That's it for Part 4, stay posted for Part 5 TTFN :)
