Welcome back all and for this the last part of our ultimate anti-hero breakdown we are going to look at our last candidate and of course this breakdown wouldn't be complete without a true fan favourite. That's right I'm talking about none other than Buffy the Vampire Slayer's blonde vampire, Spike.
Otherwise known as William the Bloody, the character of Spike experienced great change throughout both the series of Buffy and then later the spin-off of Angel. Starting as one half of a troublesome vampire duo, he quickly became a fan favourite but he was by no means a hero by any stretch of the word. As the popularity of his character grew so did the idea to keep him around and he soon became a show regular. Spike took a while to turn away from his evil past and it wasn't really until he started developing feelings for Buffy that things began to change. By the final season we had all fallen in love with his character and as such were saddened by his apparent passing in the season finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But alas our sadness was short lived, as he returned with the same attitude that drew him to us in the first place. Played by James Marsters, this character was more than just a bad boy turned good he was an entity in himself.
