Welcome back all and in this the newest series of the breakdown we will examine some candidates for the most overrated movies of all time. This may cause a bit of stir and may be a bit divisive between readers but let's dive down the rabbit hole and see where we end up. To kick things off, I'm holding no punches and as the first candidate, let's take a look at James Cameron's supposed masterpiece, Avatar.
Although this may result in me coping some flack but in my opinion this was one of the most overrated movies of all time. Especially when considering the length of time and effort that went into the making of this film it was found to be rather lacking. Its over-reliance on the special effects and the three dimensional aspect seemed to surpass any real effort to develop an adequate storyline. As much as I am a Sam Worthington fan and to its credit this movie certainly made him more of a household name but that's just about the only positive aspect that I can draw from this film.
That's it for Part 1, stay posted for Part 2 and TTFN :)
