After much debate I finally conceded and watched the much hyped, Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and in so doing was left with mixed feelings about how best to judge it as a film. Soon after the movie begun it became apparent that this was going to have a very similar style to Man of Steel, the film in which we first get a glimpse of Henry Cavill as Superman so that should be warning enough; for those who did not like Man of Steel this is probably not the movie for you.
While I did appreciate the storyline for this movie, unfortunately however it felt like it took a bit too long to get there. If you can get passed the length of the movie, Batman vs Superman definitely has its assets, most notably of which is the first look at Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman which in no small part sets the scene for the upcoming release of the Justice League. Having said that however, the stand out performance of the entire film has to be Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luther. His portrayal of the infamous villain was truly outstanding. So if you are willing spend two and half hours to satisfy your curiosity then it may be worth the watch.
