After much delay, I have finally been able to satisfy my curiosity and watch part two of the Maze Runner series, The Scorch Trials and while I have yet to view the first of the series I was not disappointed. Granted the selling point for me wanting to see this movie wasn't the storyline but rather the role of Teen Wolf favourite, Dylan O'Brien, it was a very intriguing film as a whole.
It was the perfect mix of suspense and action that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Building on from the first film, The Scorch Trials continue to explore the actions of a group of so called "Immunes" in order to escape World in Catastrophe: Killzone Experiment Department (Wicked, abbreviated to WCKD for the movie). The story has barely any dull moments and ends with a twist that leaves audience frustrated that the next instalment has been delayed for release until 2018.
That being said I give this movie 4.5/5 but then again anything with Dylan O'Brien in it can't be all that bad can it? ;)
